Why Iraq?
In 2014, armed conflict and mass displacement in northern Iraq prompted the UN to declare a Level 3 emergency, its highest level. When the conflict largely ended, people did not return home as quickly as expected, in part because their communities had suffered so much devastation. Today, homes and businesses remain damaged, and basic services like health care, electricity, and safe water are still needed in many areas. The height of the conflict may have passed, but the emergency continues. .
How You Can Help
After years of crisis, people want to be able to return home and get their lives back on track. They want what you want: education and health care for their children, income opportunities, and a safe place to call home. With the help of people like you, Iraqi families can receive crucial assistance when they need it most.
