Why DR Congo?

The second-largest country in Africa has faced a series of crises over the past decades. Complex reasons for DR Congo’s crises include multiple armed groups, a lack of essential services like water or health care, and inadequate roads and bridges that lead to isolation for families living in remote communities. There is no simple narrative or easy solution in DR Congo, which may explain why the country does not receive more media attention or funding support, despite the magnitude of the crisis.

How You Can Help

You can help Congolese people know that they have not been forgotten by the outside world. Your support brings meaningful assistance to resilient people: health care, clean water, emergency responses to outbreaks like Ebola, safe childbirth, support for survivors of sexual violence, specialised training for Congolese staff, and many more activities that help families survive and maintain hope in the midst of crisis.
