Provide technical advice and support to the field management and the health, nutrition, and protection staff in Syria and to interact with Medair’s Senior Health Advisor based at Headquarters. Peer communication with colleagues in the region on quality and innovative approaches is expected. Develop the strategies, guide, monitor, and evaluate the health, nutrition and protection aspects of the country programme. Coordinate and network at a senior level with national and regional health authorities and other NGOs. Provide technical expertise and input on all health, nutrition, and protection elements of proposals and reports, provide capacity building for national and international staff, and promote best practice in the health programmes and contributing to the overall management of the country programme.





Representing Medair in all issues relating to the programme, the Country Director plays a key role in donor relations and manages the country strategy and project implementation in conjunction with senior field managers.

Logistics Manager

ROC Required

The Logistics Manager oversees the provision of the logistical support for the programme. The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring an effective supply chain is in place at all times, and that standard logistics and related administrative systems are established and implemented within Medair country programmes. The role provides strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of logistics, ensuring relevant information, reporting and accountability requirements are met. The Logistics Manager also plays an important role in external representation, legal compliance, team leadership and capacity building of logistics staff.





Climate & DRM-DRR Technical Advisor

ROC Required

Experienced in donor relationships, the Country Technical Advisor provides strategic orientation, support, monitoring, review and evaluation of some aspects of the MDG programme, in one or more sectors such as Climate, DRM-DRR (Disaster Risk Management – Disaster Risk Reduction), WASH, Shelter-Infrastructure and CASH assistance. He/ she plays a key role in strategic thinking and programme implementation, helping the Sr management in securing funding and enhancing its stability (target: $500k-$1m per year), which includes advice to the PFM on potential donors and partnerships, and technical support to proposal writing, project implementation and reporting, also improving its quality. The Country Technical Advisor brings a solid contribution for better impact for beneficiaries through improved quality and exit strategies – more sustainable and in partnership with private actors – analyses of medium and long-term sustainability of Medair realisations of the last 3 years and make suggestions on how to restore/ revalorise failures could be envisaged.





Develop, monitor and evaluate the assigned health and nutrition (H&N) project, with support from sector advisors. Develop lead implementation and ensure adequate monitoring and evaluation for effective management and reporting on the project activities in line with the objectives, time frame and budget with a focus on nutrition system strengthening, training and coordination. Provide technical support and leadership, manage and train nutrition staff to meet quality standards in nutrition delivery, anticipate, plan, and contribute to the development of new nutrition project proposals and reports.





The Project Coordinator manages the implementation and coordination of the designated field projects. Providing leadership, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of the Medair projects, the Project Coordinator also plays a key role in liaison with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders, team leadership and security.







Nutrition Advisor

ROC Required

Provide technical advice and support to field management and the health / nutrition staff. Develop, lead, monitor, and evaluate the nutrition aspects of the country programme. Coordinate and network at a senior level with national and regional health / nutrition authorities and other NGOs. Lead on all nutrition elements of proposals and reports, providing capacity building for national and international staff, promote best practice in the nutrition programmes as well as contributing to the overall management of the country programme.







Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Project Manager

ROC Required

The MHPSS Project Manager develops, leads, monitors and evaluates the assigned MHPSS project(s). This involves effectively managing and reporting on the projects in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget. Other important aspects of the role include managing and training local staff to meet international quality standards in mental health care delivery, encouraging beneficiary participation, liaising with other stakeholders and anticipating, planning, and contributing to the development of MHPSS components for new health and protection project proposals and reports.







Deputy Country Director

The Deputy Country Director manages all aspects of the implementation and development of the assigned programme and support functions to facilitate the implementation of the country strategy. Providing leadership, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of the Medair programmes, the Deputy Country Director also plays a key role in external representation, security management, legal compliance, grant management, programme coordination and team leadership.







Comment puis-je postuler ?

Puis-je effectuer un stage ou être bénévole à Medair ?

Pour les postes basés sur le terrain, nous ne recrutons que des personnes justifiant d’une première expérience professionnelle et pouvant s’engager pour une durée minimale d’un an. Nous ne proposons donc pas de stages sur le terrain mais nous vous encourageons vivement à postuler lorsque vous aurez acquis une première expérience au terme de vos études.

Puis-je postuler si je n’ai pas d’expérience humanitaire ?

Etant donné la complexité des contextes dans lesquels nous intervenons, nous considérons qu’il est essentiel que nos équipiers connaissent bien leur métier avant de rejoindre une de nos missions. Nous demandons à ce que les candidats justifient au minimum d’une année d’expérience dans le secteur concerné. Si vous venez de terminer vos études mais que vous avez acquis suffisamment d’expérience pratique grâce à des stages, nous pourrons envisager de faire une exception. Y a-t-il des exigences linguistiques pour pouvoir travailler à Medair ?

Si nos équipiers viennent du monde entier, la langue de travail de l’organisation est l’anglais. Tout candidat dont la langue maternelle n’est pas l’anglais doit être en possession d’un certificat d’aptitude en langue anglaise afin de pouvoir travailler sur le terrain.
