We zoeken ervaren professionals die...
- een master of bachelor hebben op het gebied van humanitaire logistiek, supply chain management, engineering, process engineering, bedrijfseconomie, of een soortgelijk vakgebied.
- ervaring hebben (liefst bij een hulporganisatie) met inkoop, voorraadbeheer en bevoorrading, facilitair management, veiligheid en het regelen van reizen en transport.
- bij voorkeur een goede kennis van internationale humanitaire voorschriften en ervaring met institutionele donoren.
- getraind zijn in en ervaring hebben met projectmanagement, budgetbeheer en met kennisoverdracht aan en training van collega’s.

Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager oversees the provision of the logistical support for the programme. The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring an effective supply chain is in place at all times, and that standard logistics and related administrative systems are established and implemented within Medair country programmes. The role provides strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of logistics, ensuring relevant information, reporting and accountability requirements are met. The Logistics Manager also plays an important role in external representation, legal compliance, team leadership and capacity building of logistics staff.

Country Director

Medair’s Global Emergency Response Team (G-ERT) deployed to Chad in January 2024 with the objective of re-enacting country registration, establishing relationships with government authorities, donor agencies, UN partners and NGOs, and becoming operational again due to the ongoing displacement crisis. Medair worked in Chad previously in 2012-14 in health, nutrition and WASH. The Country Director role will assess gaps and priorities, together with seeking out institutional funding, to re-establish Medair’s presence in Chad.

Medair’s Relief & Recovery Orientation Course (ROC) is a one-week simulation course that will help determine if a humanitarian career with Medair is the right fit for you, and if you are a strong fit for Medair. After participating in the course, you will enter a “pool” of qualified candidates that are ready to be called upon to respond to humanitarian crises. When needs arise in our country programmes, we will offer you a position in line with your competencies and our needs. If you apply for an international position, the ROC will be mandatory for you to work in our country programmes.
