At the endof the year, we make lists. Things we need to buy. People we don't want toforget. Tasks that still need to be done.But whensomething no longer has our attention, it easily slips from our minds.

The same is true for humanitarian crises. The headlines disappear, but the hunger remains. The drought remains. The worries of parents remain. That's why Medair continues to provide help, especially when the rest of the world seems to have moved on.

“I realised something was wrong"

Ayaan knows what it feels like to be forgotten. After years of drought, her family lost almost all of their livestock, along with their main source of food and income.
Each day, it became harder to provide for her children. When her young son began eating less and growing visibly thinner, her greatest fear became reality.
