Role Summary 

The Logistics Intern supports the Swiss office’s operations, managing supply flows and services. They facilitate the digitalisation of purchase requests in MedEx, oversee inventory and stock control for office and field programmes, and assist with equipment and facility services.

Project Overview 

The Global Logistics team within Medair manages all the activities related to procurement, supply chain management, infrastructure, fleet, equipment & communication means. The GSO Logistics team develops and owns the policies and processes related to logistics activities in the field.

Workplace & Conditions 

Global Support Office (GSO) position based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland.

Responsibilities:  

• Emergency Response (ER) Stock: Assemble ER Kits and ensure spare items are deployment-ready year-round. Track stock inventory, and manage the in-flows and out-flows of all materials.

• MedEx Digitisation Support: Digitalise purchase requests into MedEx, the procurement module of the new supply chain solution software. 

• Facilities Management Support: Including office porterage, equipment arrangement, and supply replenishment. Track and reporting technical faults, verify invoices, handle couriers, and induct new staff.

• Equipment management support:  Label and track GSO facility equipment, contribute to physical checks, and document loss or obsolete items.

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies:  

• Experience or education related to Supply Chain, Stock, equipment and facility Management

• Professional levels of French and English required  

• Computer literacy, Microsoft suite
