This winter, choose to remember

While the world looks away, families face hunger, displacement and a winter without a safe home. Your gift brings food, healthcare, shelter, and the reassurance that someone is coming.

Medair teams reach people in emergencies and stay alongside communities as they recover. In Madagascar, Raharitiana’s grandson was treated because someone chose not to forget.

You can do the same for another child. Give the gift of presence. Show someone they are not forgotten.

Behind every forgotten crisis is a vulnerable person worth remembering

Being remembered means someone shows up

For a family who has lost their home, it can mean shelter and safe water. For a child facing malnutrition, it can mean treatment and therapeutic food. Medair teams are there for the long run.

The gift of presence is practical: people who listen, understand, act, and keep coming back. We stay until families are back on their feet.

MADAGASCAR - NUTRITION

“Now there is some hope”

Every two weeks, Raharitiana walks with her one-year-old grandson, Ilarida, to the Mahatsinjo health centre in rural Madagascar.

When he first arrived, Ilarida was thin and fragile. He began treatment for acute malnutrition and now receives therapeutic food to help him recover. With regular care and his grandmother beside him, he is growing stronger.

Medair-supported teams screen children and work with community health workers to identify malnutrition early — helping more children receive treatment before their condition worsens.

For Ilarida, presence means care that continues.

Nearly 360,000
children under five are projected to face acute malnutrition in Madagascar.

LEBANON - SHELTER

Léa is six. Her family had to leave home

At Christmas, many of us think of home. For Léa and her family, it is the place they had to leave behind. After fleeing conflict, they had to seek accommodation in a collective shelter in Lebanon alongside other displaced families.

For families who have lost the safety of home, shelter, safe water and essential care are urgent needs. Your support can help Medair teams stand alongside people facing displacement, bringing practical help as they begin to recover.

For a displaced family, presence begins with not facing the unknown alone.

4.1 million people
need humanitarian assistance across multiple sectors.

More people we choose not to forget

SOMALIA - NUTRITION

Women leading change

Care begins within communities. Help support nutrition services that work alongside families, so children facing malnutrition can receive the care they need.

DR CONGO - HEALTH

A child’s recovery cannot wait

Children facing acute malnutrition need treatment and continued care. Your gift can help bring nutrition support to families who might otherwise be overlooked.

UKRAINE - SHELTER

Now our home feels safe again

After a rocket attack shattered their windows, families received support to repair them. Cash for repair is a shelter response that provides people in need.

Our presence continues in Madagascar, DR Congo, Somalia, Lebanon, Ukraine, and Afghanistan, too.

“They set clear expectations and fulfilled their promises.”

— Denys, whose family received support to repair their home in Ukraine
