Hope in the Bleak Midwinter

As we look around the world this winter, there are millions of people who are in need. ‘Hope in the Bleak Midwinter’ is a Christmas carol video designed to help us reflect on how we as Christians can respond to the crises that we see around the world. As we take time to think of vulnerable communities across the world, we should also take time to pray. By raising them to God, we can remind ourselves that He is moving in these countries. We've also created some slideshows to help you to pray. There is a general prayer resource and then one for each of the three countries featured in the video – Ukraine, Lebanon and Afghanistan.

Each of the slideshows below provide you with some information on the specific challenges that these countries are facing, as well as how you can be praying over them. These are great to share on-screen during a church service after watching the carol, during a small group meeting, or even for your own personal prayer use.
