Role Summary

Develop Medair’s presence in French-speaking Switzerland by raising funds and enhancing visibility. Manage and grow a donor portfolio, focusing on middle and potential major donors. Achieve income targets, reduce churn, and increase donor loyalty and engagement.

Project Overview

The Engagement Department connects supporters to Medair’s mission through fundraising, marketing, and communication. It promotes Medair’s work globally, raises essential funds, and aids in staff recruitment. The Donor Relations team builds and develops donor relationships to increase support and visibility.

Workplace & Conditions

Global Support Office (GSO) position based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Relationships building and fundraising with private individuals; Manage, build and sustain a portfolio of relationships with middle-donors and churches.

• Acquisition of donors through networking with associations, external events, conferences, relevant forums

• Create, develop, and coordinate print communication materials in collaboration with relevant team members

• Proactively seek opportunities to increase Medair awareness and visibility within target audiences via various presentations, pitches, events etc,

• Meet annual fundraising targets

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies

• University degree in Marketing, Sales, Account Management or Business Management  

• 5+ years of professional success in fundraising/marketing/sales, certification desirable.

• Previous experience in humanitarian or non-profit sector desirable

• Excellent written and spoken French, Working knowledge of English

• Advanced user of MS Office and experience in CRM/sales management software
