Role Summary
The Finance Partner provides financial information, advice, analysis, forecasting and training in fund management to support country program leadership within their portfolio in delivering effective financial plans and manage resources, ensuring better program delivery and fund oversight.
Project Overview
The Medair GSO Finance Department, is primarily focused on Medair financial and investment decisions, acts as a financial gatekeeper and strategic advisor in daily business operation and also mid to long-term strategic decisions of Medair, with streamlined and optimized key processes, via leveraging a fit-for-purpose finance system.

Global Support Office (GSO) position based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Swiss or eligible EU citizens, or those with a valid work permit for Switzerland.
Responsibilities
• Institutional and private funding management: Monitor and analyze budgets, update tools and ensure accurate reporting. Support audits, communicate findings, manage risks and opportunities.
• Country funding strategy and monitoring: Provide technical advice to country program senior management, develop and review financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Develop and respond to KPIs, innovate finance processes, and support system optimisation. Lead or participate in projects to enhance Finance performance.
• Train and support Finance Managers in International Country Programs.
Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies
• University degree in business administration, accounting or equivalent relevant education
• 5+ years’ experience working in finance in an NGO and/or large complex organisation
• Working level of English, French is desirable
• Proven skills in data analysis, financial reporting, presentations, problem solving, detailed administration
• High computer literacy, Microsoft Office (Excel)
