Medair Connect - Hope in Action

April 14, 2026
Zurich

The theme for the evening will be 'Hope in Action: stories of impact from Sudan, Afghanistan & Lebanon'.

We will hear from Rachel Hirons, Medair's Country Director for Sudan, and colleagues from our Afghanistan country programme, as well as receiving updates from our team on the ground in Lebanon.

In countries like Sudan, Afghanistan, and Lebanon, years of conflict and disaster have shattered lives, livelihoods, and communities. When you’ve lost your home, how do you feed your children? When everything familiar is reduced to rubble, where do you find safety? When survival becomes a daily fight, how do you keep hope alive?

At this Medair Connect event, we’ll hear powerful stories of compassion in action—of aid reaching families forced to flee, of medical care restoring strength, of shelter rising from destruction. Through these acts, Medair teams walk alongside those in crisis, reminding them—and us—that even in the hardest moments, hope endures.
