Role Summary
The role will lead the Digital Solutions and Engineering Team (DSE). This is a geographically disbursed team of data engineers, developers, application and business intelligence specialists who develop and support a range of standardised information management tools for use within Medair. Reporting to the Global IT Manager, the job holder will ideally have a strong background managing a technical IT Team, will have a strong technical understanding of data warehousing, integrations software and business intelligence. The ideal candidate should preferably have experience working in the Humanitarian or Development sectors.
Project Overview
Global ITS provides centralised governance, strategy, direction, innovation, and support for Medair’s use of information technologies, aligning them with Medair’s strategy. The team supports IT services across Medair’s Global Support Office and all country programs. The DSE team is responsible for master data management, integrations, and business intelligence.

Responsibilities
• Line-manage members of the DSE team (some remote) by providing guidance and timely feedback, and lead by example to demonstrate professionalism and accountability.
• Develop training and knowledge transfer plans so that members of the team can continue to grow in their roles and ensure proper coverage in case of staff absence or departure.
• Technical lead support for DSE team. Lead the team to implement approved changes within the data environment, including integrations, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
• Coach team members to troubleshoot technical issues, respond to incidents and develop solutions.
• Monitor work queues and allocate technical trouble-shooting resources according to Jira queue.
• Collaborate with the Data Protection Officer to identify any risks and provide expertise when required.
Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies
• Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Excellent English (spoken and written). Ability to work in French desirable.
• 3+ years’ experience in development, data engineering or business intelligence.
• Experience in database/data warehouse management, ETL and integration processes.
• Experience working in the Humanitarian or Development sectors (desirable)
